Humi[K] WSP contains the same benefits as our liquid product, which we make available in powder form for dry mix fertilizers, as well as for cost-effective shipping. Our Humi[K] WSP is derived from the finest, richest, and purest source of humic acid in North America and arguably the World. This humic acid source is a weathered type of oxidized sub-bituminous coal rich in humic substances.
An important note: We do not offer peat derived products. These products contain less complex and ultimately less functional humic and fulvic acids when compared to Leonardite (Oxidized Sub-bituminous Coals).
Our Humic Acid Powder is Spray Dried at lower temperatures for a fraction of the time it takes to make drum dry flake. We do not denature our humates by drum drying.
We began spray drying our Liquid Humi[K] to serve our customers manufacturing dry mix fertilizers and customers that are located abroad. The addition of our spray dry line has enabled us to deliver the same great organic humic product in larger quantity without the water weight, significantly reducing the shipping costs, which passes on cost savings to the customer.

EXTRACTED HUMIC ACIDS
Alkali Extracted = Functional. Extracted Humates are exponentially more functional than Raw Material Leonardite Ore.
One of the major benefits of using Humi[K] WSP (extracted/activated Humic Acid) is that its application and utilization by soil and plants can be predicted much more accurately than raw Leonardites or other raw humate products. It is nearly impossible to predict if, how, or when the humic acids from raw Leonardites will ever be released or utilized by the plants and soil. With Humi[K] WSP, the usage rates can be narrowed down to within small margins and the overall response to crops can be achieved with only 1/100 of the typically used rate of Leonardites or other raw humic substances.
Humic Acids bond with soil particles to create Micropores in the soil. These micropores are spaces where roots, water, oxygen, nutrients, and microbes can reside.
It is also important to note that Humi[K] is a soil stimulant and a transportation vehicle for carrying nutrients into plants. Once connected to the humic acid molecule, nutrients are carried into a plant in available forms that help intensify the plant’s metabolism and stimulate the soil’s natural activities.

Humi[K] WSP improves the efficiency in which plants utilize nutrients from the soil. In return, this enables a reduction in the amount of fertilizer historically required to maintain optimal plant growth. Obviously, this provides enormous economic and ecological value to growers wishing to reduce their fertilizer input costs and/or reduce the potential side-effects of heavy chemical fertilizers usage.
AGRONOMIC USES:Apply directly to the soil in fall or early spring and as many as 4 to 6 applications per growing season. Always conduct a soil test to determine nutrient levels and make needed amendments to assure good fertility levels in your soil. Humi[K] WSP is an ideal supplement to aid in the effectiveness of your fertilizer program. Application rates will vary depending on soil conditions, plant type, nutrient requirement and application method. Conslit your local agronomist or Ag Extension Agent for more information for your specific application.
- Mix 1 lb. (0.45 kg.) Humi[K] WSP in 1 gallon(4 liters) of water.
- Agitate/dissolve Humi[K] WSP in water.
- Further dilute with 19 gallons (72 liters) of water prior to application.
- Apply diluted Humi[K] concentrate to soil in fall and early spring with as many as 4 applications per grow season.
SHAKE WELL prior to further diluting/mixing.When mixing with water, fill container half flil, then add Liquid Humi[K] Concentrate to the remaining water. When mixing with pesticides, dilute Liquid Humi[K] Concentrate with water prior to the addition of buffering agents and pesticides. DO NOT tank-mix with carbonate-based pesticides, as efficacy will decrease. Follow all directions and precautions on pesticide labels prior to mixing with Liquid Humi[K] Concentrate. Ensure adequate agitation in all situations. DO NOT mix Humi[K] Concentrate with calcium nitrate, phosphoric acid, zinc slifate or other solutions with a pH of less than 6.5
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:Proper timing, rate, and placement of Humi[K] is important for desired reslits and highly dependent on the stage of crop growth, soil fertility levels and environmental conditions. If unsure of application rates for your specific soils, please conslit your local Ag Extension Agent
Agronomic Crops:4-10 lbs./gallons (of concentrate) per acre. (4.8-11.2 kg. per hectare), or apply 80-200 gallons diluted concentrate per acre (748 - 1871 liters per hectare)
Turf:5-10 lbs./gallons (of concentrate) per acre. (5.06-11.2 kg. per hectare), or apply 100-200 gallons diluted concentrate per acre (936-1871 liters per hectare)
FOLIAR FOLIAR SPRAY INSTRUCTIONS:Apply 2 quarts of Liquid Humi[K] Concentrate per acre diluted with a minimum of 20 gallons of water.
What is Potassium Humate?
Potassium Humate is an Alkali Extracted Humic Substance (Humic Acid).
It takes significantly longer for raw material leonardite to be broken down and become functional in the soil.
Dry ore or raw leonardite contains many functional groups that are non-ionized within their own large molecules. There are numerous companies using different types of dry humate from various sources. Some companies spray dry with potassium hydroxide (hydrolysis or wet chemistry). Others use pure raw Leonardite, which is not as functional for plant translocation and use.
To convert the raw leonardite into a functional product for agriculture, it is necessary to convert it into a more useable form, that provides timelier overall benefit to the soil & crop. This conversion essentially “unrolls” the tightly bound molecules and exposes the functional groups. In their soluble form, humic acids can readily chelate nutrients, preserve nitrates from leaching, enhance root development, and improve overall crop vigor and yields. Positive results can be obtained using soluble humates in conjunction with conventional fertilizers or as a standalone soil conditioning product.
The ionized functional groups on the humate molecules interact with the soil particles and other elements creating a good stable aggregate.
The bottom line: Potassium humate is high in functional humic & fulvic acids, carbon and organic matter. Alkali extracted humates (Potassium Humate) are far more functional than a basic raw material humate ore.
